VENTURE PHILANTHROPY FOR PLANETARY HEALTH.

Our Purpose
Chronic Social Ventures is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We provide early-stage startups with patient capital—investment that prioritizes long-term societal impact over short-term financial returns. We seek to catalyze innovation in nascent sectors which are tackling the root cause of health and environmental crises.
Our charitable purpose both requires and empowers us to assess investment opportunities with an impact-first mindset, enabling us to support entrepreneurs overlooked and underfunded by traditional venture capital.
As our portfolio companies grow, we support them in demonstrating market viability while maintaining the integrity of their core mission.

Fund Structure
Chronic Social Ventures is structured as an evergreen fund, meaning that any investment returns are recycled and redeployed to support future entrepreneurs. This structure enables us to extend and amplify the impact of philanthropic donations.
We support mission-driven pre-seed and seed-stage organizations.

Additionality
We prioritize organizations which would be unlikely to raise sufficient capital without our support. We invest in organizations that are overlooked and underfunded relative to their social impact potential.
